Sitaram Yechury, the general secretary of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), has written to the Election Commission accusing BJP leaders of violating the poll code. He claims that more BJP leaders are using anti-Muslim rhetoric to incite hatred. Yechury posted a copy of his complaint on X, urging the Election Commission to take immediate action.

Yechury stated that the CPI(M) has filed several complaints against BJP leaders for violating the Model Code of Conduct. Despite this, the Election Commission has not taken action against the culprits. He criticized the Commission for sending notices to BJP president J P Nadda instead of Prime Minister Modi in one instance.
