Darshan Thoogudeepa Detained
Police detained Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa and his wife Pavithra Gowda for questioning in the murder case of Renuka Swamy. Authorities took the 47-year-old actor from his Mysuru farmhouse to Bengaluru for further investigation. Renuka Swamy, a 33-year-old Apollo Pharmacy employee, was found dead at Sumanahalli Bridge. Allegedly, Swamy had sent inappropriate messages to Pavithra Gowda, a close friend of Darshan.

Three suspects confessed to the murder, claiming they acted on Darshan’s instructions. Swamy’s parents had reported him missing, and after finding his body, police registered a murder case on June 9.
