Hyderabad Task Force Police solved the Praja Bhavan bomb threat case within 24 hours, arresting the accused, Ramakrishna from Guntur, and bringing him to Hyderabad.
On Tuesday morning, Ramakrishna called the police control room and claimed bombs had been planted at Praja Bhavan and Nampally Court, causing confusion.
The investigation revealed that Ramakrishna made the call after a quarrel with his wife, who was away and called in distress.
The unknown caller had reported a bomb threat at Praja Bhavan, where Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka’s family lives, prompting an immediate alert from the state police department.
Police officers from the intelligence and security wing, along with the Hyderabad City Security Wing, responded swiftly. Bomb and dog squad teams arrived at Praja Bhavan and conducted thorough inspections. Panjagutta ACP Manohar Kumar and his team assessed the situation on-site.
The dog squad searched every part of Praja Bhavan, including the entrance, all rooms, bedrooms, kitchen, dining hall, visitor halls, the Deputy Chief Minister’s chamber, gym, garden, and surrounding areas. They also examined vehicles used by Bhatti Vikramarka’s convoy and family members.
Additionally, they inspected the Ammavari Temple in Praja Bhavan and the surrounding areas for about three hours.
After confirming the call was fake, the bomb squad and dog squad personnel left Praja Bhavan.
