Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed worry about the health of Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz, while Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman assured the public about his father’s well-being.
Modi took to social media platform X to convey his concern over reports regarding King Salman’s health, wishing him a speedy recovery. Late last month, the Saudi Royal Court announced that King Salman, 88, had been admitted to the King Faisal Specialist Hospital for routine examinations, marking a rare disclosure about the ruler’s health.
The Court later disclosed that King Salman was diagnosed with a lung infection and received treatment, including antibiotics. Consequently, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman canceled his trip to Japan over concerns about his father’s health and reassured the public during a cabinet session about the King’s condition.
India and Saudi Arabia maintain friendly relations, with Crown Prince Mohammed visiting India in September for trade talks with Modi. The incident underscores the importance of diplomatic relations between the two countries amid concerns over the health of Saudi Arabia’s leadership.
