N. Chandrababu Naidu, leader of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), announced a pledge to provide Rs 1 lakh in financial aid to Haj pilgrims if the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is elected. This promise aims to garner support from the Muslim community. Naidu highlighted TDP’s past efforts, such as establishing an Urdu university in Hyderabad and building Haj Houses. He emphasized that during TDP’s previous tenure with the NDA, no injustice was allowed against the community. Naidu also criticized YSRCP chief and Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy for not building a single mosque in the past five years, asserting his commitment to religious and community support.
Similarly, Naidu asserted that the YSRCP government had extended unconditional support for the National Register of Citizens (NRC) and other initiatives by the Union Government. Naidu added that the Muslim community is known for their trust, courage and belief in hard work.
