Karnataka’s Deputy Chief Minister, D.K. Shivakumar, expressed concerns about alleged black magic rituals being performed against him and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He claimed that political opponents are using ‘Aghoris’ and ‘tantriks’ at a temple in Kerala to destabilize their government.
Shivakumar stated that a yagya (special worship) called ‘Raja Kantaka’ and ‘Marana Mohana Stambhana’ is being conducted by ‘Aghoris’ near the Rajarajeshwari temple in Kerala. He alleged that the aim of the ritual is to eliminate enemies and disrupt the Congress government.
The Deputy CM mentioned that the ritual involves sacrificing 21 red goats, three buffaloes, 21 black sheep, and five pigs for black magic purposes. He refused to name the politicians involved but insisted that they are from Karnataka.
When asked about a potential counter-worship, Shivakumar stated that he prays to God daily before work and urged the media to investigate the matter further. He emphasized that regardless of such attempts, he believes in the protective forces.
Shivakumar also announced a legislators’ meeting in Bengaluru on June 2, inviting all MLCs, MLAs, and MPs to discuss party matters and the upcoming MLC election. He mentioned that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s son, Dr. Yathindra, will likely receive an MLC post, considering his sacrifice of vacating his MLA seat for his father. Additionally, representation will be given to various regions of Karnataka, not just Bengaluru.
