Former BrahMos Engineer Sentenced to Life for Spying - Deccan Voice

Nishant Agrawal, an engineer formerly employed at BrahMos Aerospace, was sentenced to life imprisonment by a Nagpur court for espionage. Arrested in 2018, Agrawal was found guilty of passing sensitive information to Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). His arrest followed a joint operation by the Military Intelligence and Anti-Terrorism Squads of Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra. He was charged under the Official Secrets Act, the Indian Penal Code, and the Information Technology Act. The trial commenced in July 2022, and his conviction marks a significant breach in national security.
