Tragedy in Telangana: Woman Ends Life Over Husband's Silence - Deccan Voice

In a heartbreaking incident in Ganneruvaram, Karimnagar district, 27-year-old Patti Mamatha committed suicide due to her husband’s prolonged lack of communication and financial support. Mamatha, married to Durga Prasad for 11 years, became increasingly distressed after Prasad moved to Jharkhand for work and ceased answering her calls. This emotional strain led her to return to her parents’ home, where she ultimately took her own life by hanging.

The local police have launched an investigation following a complaint from her father, Jogaiah. Mamatha’s tragic decision highlights the severe emotional and psychological impact of communication breakdowns and financial neglect within marriages. The community is left grappling with the aftermath of this avoidable loss, underscoring the need for stronger emotional support systems for individuals in similar situations.
