India has 543 elected Lok Sabha MPs. Their salary is Rs 1 lakh per month, with additional allowances for housing, travel, and office expenses.
Eligibility and Disqualification
To be an MP, a person must be an Indian citizen, at least 25 years old, and a registered voter. Grounds for disqualification include holding an office of profit, being of unsound mind, or being bankrupt.
