Eleven days after the tragic event, Modi’s arrival was met with anticipation as he assured survivors that both the state and central governments were committed to their rehabilitation. Speaking at the district collector’s office, the Prime Minister stated, “I assure the survivors that they are not alone. Whether it is the state government or the central government, we are all with them during these difficult times.”

Modi also visited a relief camp at St. Joseph’s Girls’ Higher Secondary School in Kalpetta, where he met with 12 survivors, all of whom had lost family members. His presence and promises of support provided a much-needed morale boost to the affected communities.
